Everyone is entitled to be stupid, but some abuse the privilege.

Michael,

Thanks for dropping by on my blog and giving me your encouragement to our campaign. I knew that you wouldn't be able to resist sharing a few comments in regards to my "don't be a wanker" campaign. After all there is no one better than you to tell us about wanking especially after answering the following question on national TV on the "SBS Insight program".

"JENNY BROCKIE: Michael Linden, you were donating sperm in the 80’s..

MICHAEL LINDEN, DONOR: 77 actually.

JENNY BROCKIE: 77, did you think about any of this when you were donating sperm?

MICHAEL LINDEN: No, never gave it a thought. I wasn't...I wasn't given any counselling as is offered to donors now. I was...in fact I believe, frankly, I was misled in the sense that I was never.....it was never formally stated to me that my donations would be used to create children. I was left quite... "

Not once did you ever consider that your sperm would be used to create children ?!! .....you in fact " never gave it a thought" and then in the same sentence you try to shift your blame by saying " I was misled...it was never formally stated ..." . How can anyone be misled when they are not even giving it a thought in the first place !?

You were born with a brain and although it may never have been formally stated that you ought to use it , it's never too late Michael.

PS: Lia, haven't you got anything better to do ? why don't you start your own blog ?
my suggestion to you is : Get a life ! ( your own life )

Max + DD = DynamoDad

Some of you may have noticed, I recently cleaned out my blog, reorganised my links with a his and hers section, added a few miscellanous links and even a funny quote of the day.
I've also changed my signature to Max because a lot of people know me by that "nom de plume" and I thought it would be a lot more simple to stick to just one name.

So if you see a comment on your blog as "Max" where as before it used to say "DD" just know that we are one and only..

Male infertility awareness campaign.

In Support of Richard's plea, I've created this simple slogan. I used pink for the baby/love aspect of things and green the colour of hope as the colours for this image.

It's a straight to the point idea which I think your average male should be able to relate to. It's designed in a way that can be used anywhere in the world and I'm just posting it here to get some feedback from fellow bloggers and bloggettes alike.

Should I get enough positive feedback, I'm going to design banners and buttons so that it can become more blog display friendly and encourage bloggers and bloggettes of the infertility fellowship to display it on their side bar and to encourage others to do the same.

Reading about Richard's ideas made we wonder what I could do myself. I could of course write lengthy letters to politicians etc...but unless it's going to have an influence on votes most of them just wouldn't give a rat's ass about such issue.

We all have access to the internet and so do millions of others. let's make the most of it. I thought that the email idea was good but I for one probably would delete such things before even reading it because more often that not this kind of email contain crap advertising at best and viruses at worse. On the other hand an image displayed on a blog is not something you can delete, let's make our own generic advertising !

All rights of reproduction (pun intended) in regards to the picture above are not only allowed but also encouraged !

Let's not wait for governments to start things rolling, let's create our own international campaign !

Once upon a tag...

Just when I thought it was safe to get back into blogging , here comes another tagging game !....Since both my better half and myself were tagged together, I was tempted to just copy and paste her answers into my blog but then I realised that I didn't have a handbag. Thanks to Katty for tagging me along. :)

5 Items in my fridge:

1. A jar of Moutarde de Dijon
2. Half a bottle of sweet chilli sauce
3. A pack of marinated tofu
4. A six pack of Killkenny irish beer
5. A half eaten can of Halva

5 items in my cupboard:

1. My Nikon SLR
2. A bright yellow waterproof encasing for my Nikon SLR
3. Some genuine Lavender sachets that my mum brought from the south of France
4. A pack of mothballs
5. A bottle of cheap crappy shampoo

5 items in my bag:

1. My lunch box which usually consists of 4 slices of bread, a can of tuna, a diet yoghurt, a fruit and a few nuts and raisins.
2. A couple of small umbrellas
3. A funky looking pen
4. A book to read in the bus
5. A bottle of tap water

5 items in my car:

1. Empty bottles of water rolling under the seat
2. Music tapes
3. A pack of minty lollies
4. A sunshade
5. 2 Beach chairs in the boot

I was thinking about tagging a couple of hundred people myself but I'm feeling kind of lazy tonight so I'm only going to tag one instead...I'm looking at quality rather than quantity anyway..

and the winner is...well I was planning on nominating this person:

http://the-end-of-my-line.blogspot.com/

but my better half beat me to it...and after looking for some new blog to tag for the last half hour I'm sorry to say that I will not be able to tag someone in particular.

All we need is love

One thing that never ceases to amaze me in those debate about DI is the way the anti factions approach the subject.

On one hand they preach about love and respect for the unborn child on the other they treat people who differ in opinion with contempt.

They point out that DC children are given no choice in the matter and that is what is causing them so much hurt.Yet they rejoice in knowing that a new law will make possible for a DC child to find out their origins via a letter from their donor as they reach 18. This has the potential to cause great distress, yet the anti lobby is celebrating.

Who's choice is that? Not the child's that's for sure !

They pretend to know it all, to have the answers, however they are no gods, just mere mortals and whether or not they realise it, they have become one with their own nemesis.

Don't preach love if all you have in your heart is hate.
